Hola amigos! I am Miss Schulte and I will be your new Spanish teacher.
This will be my first year in CMS and my first year teaching Spanish! I am from a small town in Michigan about an hour north of Detroit. I have a wonderful family in Michigan including my mom, dad and younger brother. I recently graduated from Michigan State University where I studied Education, Spanish and ESL. While in college, I also studied abroad in northern Spain for a summer and traveled to several different cities in Mexico where I was able to use and learn more about the Spanish language and culture. Learning Spanish has allowed me to experience some of the most incredible things..Think of all of the exciting places you can go once you've learned Spanish!
I am a big Michigan State Spartans and Detroit Tigers fan, but I look forward to becoming a Panthers fan! I enjoy walking, biking, traveling, baking and playing volleyball. In fact, I will be coaching the girls' Volleyball Team at Community House this year! Being new to Charlotte, I feel very lucky to be in such a beautiful place surrounding with such welcoming people.
I have loved Spanish ever since I first took the class in middle school! In fact, that is when I decided to pursue it as a career! I can only hope that I can ignite the same passion for the language in my students. I am SO excited to meet each and everyone of you! I hope you are looking forward to learning Spanish as much as I am looking forward to sharing it with you! I have HIGH expectations set for my students, which include hard work and participation. We are going to learn a lot this year and have a lot of fun doing it!
